This was our first time on H/A. We had previously gone to Alaska with Princess. The food on H/A was definitely an improvement over Princess where presentation ruled and taste did not. Had the best lasagna I ever had on on the Veendam. Staff was just as your expect - excellent.
Dining room seemed disorganized the 1st 2 nights - open seating meant a 20-30 minute wait, and we asked to change to fixed seating.
Entertainment was very good. The singers - esp 2 of them - were outstanding. Juggler was quite good. It was mostly free of the juvenile bathroom & sexual humor that is so common. Violinist and accompanist were quite good.

Verandah Suite
Very nice, but lose the no purpose pillows. Last thing I want to deal with at night. Fortunately, I could stuff them in the closet for the duration, and the cabin folk had sense enough to leave them there. There was no plug by the bed for my heating pad, but they did give me an extension cord - but it did not reach that far. THey did some balcony maintence & we were told they would be doing that between 1 and 4; not very convenient if you wanted to nap.
