Enchantment has just made Port Canaveral it's new home. Some of the crew seemed to be adjusting to the new assignment. One of our favorite times in the daily routine is getting dressed up for the dining room. We had the 5:45 seating, so this was enjoyable for us. Our waiter was not as attentive as we would have liked, but our second waiter made up for the difference. In fact he was our "Wow" crew person for the trip.
The food was outstanding every night. I love the small portions that are served. We were able to ask for extra servings or a combination of meals. Our table companions were friendly and we shared some different cruise tips with one another. One tip that I enjoyed greatly was having breakfast brought to our room. We like to eat lightly in the morning. That never seems to happen when we walk up to an open breakfast buffet. So, we had coffee, yogurt, and fresh fruit to eat on the balcony. This was a nice touch for our anniversary cruise.
The light breakfast worked well with working out in the gym each day. We did not gain any weight on the cruise. The gym was a little tight. Plenty of treadmills, but little floor space. It is located on the back of the ship, so there is a great view looking out from deck 10.
The cabin was quiet, but not the perfect. We did not like the shower curtain. It seemed to attack you turn on the water. I did not like the furniture layout. if the bed was closer to the balcony, like our last cabin on Independence of the Seas, we could have avoided running our shin into the bed frame. Cabin temperature was fine and the view was great. Cabin attendant was friendly and efficient.
