Embarkatiin easy and efficient. Cabins- We booked 2 mini suites, 2 balcony suites and 2 inside cabins. On the deck plan our cabins were all in the same area. That proved to be true for the balcony cabins onlly. The inside cabins tha were shown to be directly opposiite the outside cabin but had no door opening to this hallway. We literally had to go through a maze of cabins to find them. You entered this hallway from a completely different location. The halls are so narrow that it would impossible to have doors open on both sides.
Safety- Muster Drill- All the cruises we have been on required passengers to get their life jackets and assemble in their assigned location. Not so on the Breakaway. We went to our assigned assembly area where the staff demonstrated how to put on a life jacket. There was not even enough seats for the passengers assembled. I wonder if the had 4,700 hundred life jackets for our over-crowed cruise. With the long narrow halls, lifeboats located opposite small walkways with outdoor restaurant seating. I didn't feel safe. I know that muster drills are a nuisance especially when you want to get the party started but they are important.
Dining- We ate in the Manhattan, Savor and Taste. Some of us also ate in Ocean Blue. Bistro, Cucina and Moderno. We planned our Anniversary celebration in the Manhattan. We reserved a table for 14 and wound up arranging the tables ourselves We asked the waiter to please send the photographer to our table for a group picture and that never happened. The only exceptional food was in Ocean Blue , Moderno and the food at the dinner show was surprisingly good. Don't order chicken parm at Cuccina it was a tough fried cutlet with a piece of unmelted mozzarella on top. The staff was very cordial but in Manhattan they seemed overwrought withso many tables. We did not get our drinks or meals served at the same time at our table.
I never unpacked my suitcase because the closet was so close to the bed it was hard to get to. very small fir amini suite
