June 2013. Our first ever Cruise and we decided on the Med and MSC Divina. Booked and paid far in advance (that afforded us a nice discount)to board in Venice and do a 7 day trip to Dubrovnik and back. Before our Cruise we read some bad reviews about the Divina - bad staff, bad food, terrible wine etc etc. Well...we experienced NOTHING of the sort! The staff was excellent, the food was very acceptable and the wine was fine.

Boarding in Venice took all of 15 minutes. Our cabin was ready 2 hours before the advertised time and we found it spotless and inviting. The Cabin attendant (Frederique) introduced himself and after that we just saw him slip in and out of our Cabin to freshen things up.

We bought the Allegrissimo Drinks package at 23Euro per person per day and it was a very good decision. Our evening meals we had in the Villa Rosa Restaurant and our waiters Halili and Stephen went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. 1 Evening meal we went to the Tex Mex (Extra charge) and another evening we Dined at the Buffet Restaurant (we did not feel like dressing up). It is advisable to wear long pants for dinner. We had 2 Gala evenings and a Jacket and tie is advisable if you do not want to do Black tie.

Cabin Review

Cabin 12

Cabin 13075. Enough closet space. Bed high enough so that empty cases could be stored underneath. Bathroom good (shower a bit small - but fine). Balcony was great and being on deck 13 had fantastic views. We had 2 cabins and had an interleading door. The balcony partition between our Cabins could also open - that was great. The cabins were kept in very good and clean state.
