Went on this cruise because our grandchildren and family friends had cruised Carnival before -- they persuaded us to come. THE SERVING STAFF WAS WONDERFUL, AND THE ENTERTAINERS WERE WARM AND ENTHUSIASTIC AS WE MET THEM AROUND THE SHIP.
This is a good ship for young children who will go to camp, or be well supervised by their family. The kids enjoyed the waterslides and like activities. The younger ones enjoyed the kids club - older ones not as much.
For my husband and me, the saving grace was the art auction with very interesting lectures. The Motor City show was fabulous - wonderful singing and dancing - fabulous energy. The Divas show was very loud, but great dancing. The farewell show was fair. The "juggler" had about 5 minutes of professional performance, otherwise he should have been a street performer! The comedy acts were terrible - both adults only and especially those meant for family.
Cabin Review
Great closet space. Beds were put together, but there was still a space in the mattress which should have been filled with a foam piece. We had an interior cabin on the 2nd floor. Every night between midnight and 12:30, we heard loud rolling noises coming from the floor above us. One night we were heading to our cabin and discovered that the noise was coming from the cleaning tubs and vacuum being rolled out of storage and used in the atrium area and the theater. When we complained to Guest Services, they said they would need to come down and hear the noise themselves. However, when they came down (the following morning) and stood in the hallway they (OF COURSE) heard nothing.
