We only took the Shuttle bus to Blankenburge as we have been to Brugge several times. Lots of people either did a tour or took the train from Blankenburge. Blankenburge has lots of shops and a lovely beach and promenade. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not good. The beach and Promenade would not have been accessible for me with a mobility scooter.

Brugge (Bruges)

It's easy to walk from the ship to the town but there are stairs up and down under the railway bridge. I have a mobility scooter and found an easy route through the car park which enabled us to explore. Again we only stayed in Warnemunde but spoke to lots of people who went into nearby Rostock by themselves or Berlin on organised trips. It was nice to walk around. Lots of shops and restaurants, and you could do a river trip if you wanted.

Unfortunately due to adverse weather conditions, the ship could not dock in Stockholm. To get to shore, you had to go by Tender. A free shuttle was then able to take you into Stockholm which was an hour each way. Unfortunately there were terrible traffic hold ups and although 30 shuttle buses had been ordered, none were available when we got to the pier and there were long queues. Due to the heavy rain, we decided to return to the ship for the rest of the day. A longer stay was organised for those people who managed to go on trips. Well done to the Captain and crew for what must have been an extremely difficult time for them and for their organisation in such a short space of time.

Stockholm

Again, we took a shuttle bus into town. Again we had heavy rain, so did not see, or explore, as much of Helsinki as we might have done.

Helsinki

Tallinn is just a beautiful town. We took the Big Red Bus Tour as that is all we wanted to do. We didn't get off the bus as it would have been too difficult as lots of cobblestones. It was nice to see how they have developed the dock area with covered stalls and shops and a cafe now. The quality of the merchandise was excellent albeit expensive.

Again we took the Big Red Bus Tour of Copenhagen. We went along the pedestrianized streets to look at the shops and to explore. We stopped for coffee in the City Centre. 3 coffees cost 14.00. Nice but very expensive. This is a new route for the Red Bus and they need to get their act together as it took us 1.5 hours from the Little Mermaid stop 6 to get back to the ship. Lack of communication and understanding, being directed to getting on and off different buses, etc, plus the drivers not being able to speak enough English didn't help, but we have now received an apology by email from them. Can only suggest that at Stop 6, you make it clear which ship you want to get back on.

Copenhagen

Wow again. It was just a fabulous experience to see this room.

Another Wow factor. The interior was amazing to see. Again I was given lift access.

This had easy mobility access which enabled me to go inside this magnificent Church. It was an incredible sight to see all the mosaic pictures which were in themselves works of art.

You can never tire of going to the Hermitage Museum. There are works of art to suit everyone's taste. Three hours just flew by. We were lucky enough to go first thing in the morning when, although crowded, you could still get round easily. Our guide even found lifts for me and my scooter so that I could keep up with our group.

It was a very nice boat ride and very interesting to see parts of St. Petersburg from a different aspect. Very enjoyable experience.

We took the Hydrofoil to Peterhof and it was just a Wow factor The gardens and fountains are just magnificent,. We had lunch in the restaurant in Peterhof which, although a set meal, was very good.

In St. Petersburg we used Alla Tours for a 2 day tour and cannot praise them highly enough, or fail to recommend them. We communicated by email on their site and every time we posted a question, a reply came through usually within 24 hours. Every step of the way was very easy to follow, including printing off our tour tickets and our invoice. Unusually, no prepayment was required. In fact, we didn't have to pay until the second day of our tour. Our tour guide Tanya was a lovely, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable person, who made our tour so interesting, fun and very worthwhile. They have a maximum of 16 people. On our first day we had 12 people and on the second we had 10. We did the Comfort Tour and saw so much. Lunch on both days was included and the choice of restaurants excellent and although set meals, the food was very good.. The driver of the mini bus was also exceptionally helpful. Always there to lend a hand to everyone getting on and off the mini bus and loading and unloading my mobility scooter.

We were on deck 11 and not too far from lifts. The cabin was very nicely furnished with adequate storage, although the large wardrobe was a little difficult to get to as it was situated sideways on to the fixed settee. Cases fitted well under the bed. Bathroom was quite a fair size with an adequate sized shower with sliding doors and high enough for a person over 6ft tall. The balcony, which we made good use of, had two nice chairs with footrests and a table.

Trying to get off the ship in time to meet our tour at 7.It became impossible to get any food, so we decided to go to the main Restaurant.
