We were on the Celebrity Millennium for a 10 day Atlantis chartered cruise. This is the third time we have been on this ship, the first being 2001, then again in 2002 - and I must say the ship was starting to show it's age a bit. Particularly noticeable around the pool area both the outdoor and the indoor pool looked liked these areas were by-passed when they did the recent multi-million dollar upgrade.
One of our favorite treats on this ship is the Olympic dining room, where we had two meals. These were $50 extra per person, but it's a real treat to see some of the original woodwork and designs from the sister ship to the Titanic - a little historical, but worth the extra spend. They have a show kitchen so you can watch the chef prepare your meal. Service here is a little more attentive than the other restaurants.
The multi-million dollar upgrade included adding the Martini Ice bar you see on Solstice class ships - a real hot spot every night on our cruise. They also added the Qsine restaurant and that was also $50 extra, which to me, was a little bit too pricey for that experience - it's just not on the same scale as the Olympic - it's a lot of fun, so if you have a chance to see it on another Celebrity line, give it a try, but I'd keep that to one visit. I don't think we paid $50 for it on the Celebrity Silhouette.
Decent room...nice amenities - you get some spa items for being in this class and priority seating in BLUE restaurant. Could have used a little more storage, but we got by. Balcony was in need of an upgrade - a lot of chipped paint and windows looked like they had been washed in weeks.
