A great weeks cruising round Alaska but poor onboard service. We were upgraded to a balcony and our cabin steward was excellentThe food was ok but not brilliant and the on board entertainment was very poor apart from sarge the comedianA lot of activities are focused around the atrium where the crowds make access to the shops impossibleA long queue (over half an hour) for lunch on boarding was then interrupted by the mandatory fire drill which was held in the casino where you couldn't see what was being said.We like the flexibility of freestyle dining but on the last night 2 of the 3 restaurants were for fixed time diners, we waited over 45 minutes for a table but then gave up waiting, 1st time ever we've missed dinner. The head waiters response was "it's not my fault the restaurants full" delivered in a threatening mannerThe hard sell at dinner for "wine tastings" was needless and despite it being a cashless ship, the steakhouse waiter asked for tips in cash so he wouldn't have to share it with the rest of the staff ( ie the guys who do the cooking)One final tip, don't book the onboard excursions as you can get them cheaper once you dock
