My wife and I took a 5 day cruise to the Western Caribbean from Miami Florida aboard the Carnival cruise ship Imagination with a couple of our oldest friends. We all had a fantastic time! We researched the trip thoroughly online before leaving. I saw quite a few things other people had posted that concerned me. I've tried to address each of those concerns below, giving my own take on things.

We celebrate our 25th anniversary this month (Oct), our friends and family helped us raise the funds for a cruise. After a two year battle with cancer my wife is feeling great and the next check to see if she is cancer free is not until November so the timing was perfect. Our friends were celebrating their 20th anniversary during the cruise as well.

At first I wasn't thrilled with the idea. The last time I went on a ship the seas were very rough and I got very very sea sick. That was a 5 hour casino trip, this cruise was to last 5 days. I started researching sea sickness online and gathered every little remedy that might be of assistance onboard - Scopolamine patches, Meclazine, wrist bands, ginger, ginger ale and bitters, and lastly sleeping pills if all else failed.
