Everything about this cruise on the Queen Elizabeth was wonderful! The food and service were fabulous and the ship was elegant, beautiful and extremely clean! The cabin was very nice and the bathroom, with it's tile interior, was above and beyond anything else.

The on-board entertainment was also fabulous. Folks, this ship had two orchestras (one in the theater, one in the ballroom), a rock band, a jazz group, a harpist, a string quartet and several piano players to entertain you almost every night! Clearly, this ship is for folks that like music and like to dance. It is nice to see a cruise line support live music like this line does! Yes, this ship is a bit more formal than most, but that is nice for a change and the ship supplies the atmosphere to support that sense of British formality. Dressing up for dinner and the evening entertainment makes the experience that much more special!

I mentioned the food in every venue was way beyond what we have had in other ships. Be sure to try the specialty restaurant called the Verandah. There is an extra charge for this restaurant, but it its well worth it and it earns its reputation as the best restaurant at sea! The tours and on-board activities were all perfect! Read more
