Hello, Just returned off the Norwegian STAR Sail date: 9/27 MY full extended review, take it or leave it. I've have only sailed on Carnival prior to this cruise, SENSATION2/05 and just cruised on the LEGEND6/06 & Carnival VICTORY8/06. Hope my comments are helpful for your vacation.... We had cabins 9217, 9221, 9223

EMBARKATION: Traveled from Philadelphia, PA to Los Angeles, CA the day of the cruise. We took the chance to travel the same day since this was a longer cruise than in the past to save some time off work. A little nervous at first since we had a plane switch in Minnesota, but everything worked out great for us. I think next time I will travel the night before just to calm my nerves of possibly missing the ship.. LOL We took the Blue bus to the port. Smooth and easy transportation right to the port, luckily no traffic.

Arrived at the port around noon, and luggage was collected efficiently and quick right at the curb. Embarkation was even quicker than NYC last month. Only about a 15-20 minutes to wait in line and process our paperwork and we were walking on the ship. I think we were lucky with our timing with the traffic and other guest embarkations. This cruise happened to be the relocation cruise from Vancouver so may of the passengers were already on the ship waiting for back-to-back cruises.
