My hubby and I became hooked on cruising when we celebrated our 30th Anniversary on the Freedom of Seas in 2010. We decided to do a repeat cruise on her to celebrate both our 33rd Anniversary and Mother's Day, I am very happy we did!
We took a flight to Orlando on Friday, May 10th, and arrived without delay. After collecting our checked bag we headed to pick up our reserved rental car from Budget. We set the GPS for Radisson at the Port and off we went, only taking a short detour to Walmart to get personal items.
When we arrived at the hotel we found there had been a room mix up. The staff was accommodating, made amends by giving us a free upgrade to a suite and it was REALLY SWEET!!! The living room was nicely furnished and had a nice sized flat screen TV which hubby loved, a nice sized dining area, french doors that led to the bedroom where we found a king size bed and a jetted tub in the bedroom. There was a flat screen TV in the bedroom too on a swevel pedestal so you could watch it from bed or the tub. After checking out our room we headed to the port to watch the Enchantment of the Seas sailaway which for us is a precruise must when sailing out of Port Canaveral. We had a nice dinner at Fish Lips, we highly recommend the Lobster roll dinner and crab cake dinners you will not be disappointed. I decided to try the Fish Lips punch it's a combo of Raspberry juice blended with pina colda, topped with whipped cream and a cherry. It was really yummy!
We were in cabin 8238, it is forward with a short walk to the stairs and elevators. We chose this area because it's close to the gym and solarium. The cabin was very nice, clean and spacious for the two of us. We like having a balcony to sit on in the morning and at night. Our cabin steward Oscar Gordon was very attentive and kind. We had a great week on FOS!
