This was my first cruise and I was somewhat disappointed. As we boarded the ship our welcome was neither here nor there. No one said anything and we weren't sure what to do with our room passes which had to be verified. Our cabin was incredibly narrow and tight to move around in, not helped by the very dark decor. We felt the bathroom was fairly spacious but the plug in the sink didn't fit well so the very large sink took for ever to fill and it was necessary to constantly run the water to counteract the leak. The bin in the bathroom was not fixed in the cupboard and just left on the floor. The coat hangers we found in a basket under the bed. Food was good but a little more variety would have been welcome as all the restaurants seemed to serve the same. At breakfast we were swamped with waiters giving us water, coffee, wanting our order all at the same time but this did improve through the week. We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating and we didn't receive a negative answer for anything we asked for. However, the staff on the reception desk couldn't give an acceptable answer to any query and we found we had to go higher up to get satisfaction. Information regarding shows was sparse and we found it difficult to make a selection when all the staff could say about everything was 'very good'. Deck plans were not user friendly. Public areas were generally too cold for comfort. Disembarking by oneself was a dream and I would encourage anyone to do this. All in all, being a first time cruiser, I found it disappointing and having heard from more seasoned cruisers I would be tempted to cruise again but on another cruise liner.
