Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Review by Goodwelch
- Sail Date: April 2013
- Destination: Transatlantic
Food was good but a little more variety would have been welcome as all the restaurants seemed to serve the same. At breakfast we were swamped with waiters giving us water, coffee, wanting our order all at the same time but this did improve through the week.
We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating and we didn't receive a negative answer for anything we asked for. However, the staff on the reception desk couldn't give an acceptable answer to any query and we found we had to go higher up to get satisfaction. Information regarding shows was sparse and we found it difficult to make a selection when all the staff could say about everything was 'very good'. Deck plans were not user friendly. Public areas were generally too cold for comfort.
Disembarking by oneself was a dream and I would encourage anyone to do this. All in all, being a first time cruiser, I found it disappointing and having heard from more seasoned cruisers I would be tempted to cruise again but on another cruise liner.
