Royal Caribbean Cruises reported a $392 million loss for the fourth quarter. Company tried to cut the spending.

Food quality is disappointing. The waiter had to explain on every single night that some dishes on the menu were not available due to routine problem or bad food quality, such as no escargots, lack of fresh fruit and vegetable. A lot people got sick, vomiting and diarrhea. Passengers not allowed touching any food or drink at the buffet. Everything has to be served. The staffs were obviously not used to serve in this way, they sometimes forgot to come to the front, or not take food-serving as their priority. It could be a long line to get a cup of tea during busy breakfast and lunch hour.

The night show was boring. The performers were good. But same performers for 4 nights during a 7-day cruise are too much. Many songs are just recording instead of singing in person. And, same talk show for 2 nights. Celebrity is trying to save money in many ways this year. Many new assistant staff in the ship, captain changed. Disorder since the 1st day: cabin not ready, luggage delay, people stuck at the hallway at the dinner time and the restaurant doors were all locked, while the staff were having meeting inside.
