We had a great cruise to Bermuda in the Grandeur OTS. But, it all started with a real concern when we noticed that our accesible cabin (2602) did not have a handicap toilet! Our travel agent had made emphasis on this need of mine and had been assured that the toilet was the proper height ... well, it was not. There goes the cruise!!!!! we said. Luckily our son helped the cabin stewart and the maintenance personnel, fix - on a temporary basis - the problem, and even though uncomfortably, this solution served its purpose.
Once this situation was resolved and we all were able to relax and unwind, the cruise just went great. The service of all the crew was just incredible, very helpful and always with a huge smile on their faces, in the eating places - all of them, including the specialty restaurants - if it was not one, was another who was ready to help with any need. The cabin service, likewise, our steward's response was prompt and with a great smile, my wife even got flowers from him. It was a memorable surprise.
About the food we can only qualify it as overall excellent, both at the dining venues as well as the buffet and the snack bar. We enjoyed it and the quality was very good. We took advantage of a great promotion and for $ 55,00 per person we were able to eat in the three specialty restaurants. Each, in its own style was really enjoyable and the food excellent. We ate at the steak house, the Italian venue and the Japanese restaurant. I personally believe that the meal I had in the steak house is one of the best steak dinners I've had, and just to share, I have been around!
Very nice and comfortable accesible cabin. THE regular TOILET NEEDS TO BE CHANGED TO A HANDICAP TOILET!
