This cruise was our honeymoon, we were married two days before and after a year of planning were more than ready to get away! I had been on a cruise before (albeit many years ago) on Princess, and wife has been on several cruises on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. This was a first for both of us on Carnival, and had read some slightly skeptical reviews prior to sailing.

We live in Louisville, KY so it was an early wake up, and flight to LAX. We had slight delays on both flights out and back, but air travel is safe for a reason. Arrived in LAX in plenty of time to meet Carnival's shuttle (Bus) to Long Beach. We arrived at the terminal at approximately 1245pm, and were at our cabin a little over an hour later. Long line that moved quickly, and yes, a couple of photo ops en route. I neglected to place our cabin number on our bags (but were labeled with my name), and bags still arrived at our cabin prior to the ship leaving, WOW! Faster than on any other ship!
