A colleague had told me Norweigan sucked, and that it is owned by a rich Chinese family and not by Norway. Turns out, he was right. The food was mediocre to bad. The service stunk. Every time we asked for anything we were ignored, or told, "I don't know, madam." Our room steward routinely forgot to restock towels, creamers, etc and was hard to locate. The shows were.pretty good. The ports were awful. Small malls filled with junk. The side excursions were poorly planned and gave us an hour to snorkel on dead corral for $90. The beer on board was $6 a bottle, $10 for a mixed drink. We were forced to pay $13 a day for tips and then asked to tip again on each item purchased. They nickeled and dimmed you for everything. Nothing was complimentary, not even water. No one on staff knew anything about the cultures, poverty, nature at any port. There were no naturalists or any type of educational talks. The music on board was very good. U met several people who got the cruise free, and even free, they were dissapointed. Spend more money and go with Holland or Princess. We had a balcony that had rusty pipes on it and a ripped up floor, very faded couch and the boat was OLD.
Dated, small, dirty ,rusty balcony and hard bed, rotten pillows
