This was my son (age 13) and my 4th time sailing Disney and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Flying into Seattle was a little different then we are used to. Usually we say good-bye to our bags when we leave our home airport and dont see them again until they arrive at our room on board. This time we did have to claim them, walk through the airport with them, and then leave them with the porters. It was a nice ride through Seattle to the port. Embarkation was fine, not as nice as Port Canaveral but good. I did not like the fact that we had to walk about 6 flights up the gangway to board the ship but if that was the only thing wrong... then I'll live with it. We boarded the ship on the upper deck (deck 5) to the usual welcome (I really like they way Disney does that!) and off the to restaurant we went. We chose to eat in Parrot Cay as I had my 82 year old mother with us and thought a nice sit down lunch would be better then having to fight for a seat at the buffet - let me tell you - good choice!

Cabin Review

Cabin 6A

Although the stateroom was great and the room stewart (Jude) was wonderful, the room itself had a few problems. First there was a smell coming from the shower side of the bathroom (I likened it to cat urine) and second there was a noise that sounded like someone typing on an old typewriter. This noise happened when the ship was at full speed - which happened at night. It was coming from the wall at the foot of the bed and the celing over the bed. Also the balcony was VERY small and with the two chairs and the table out there, it made it even smaller. This will be the last time I book a cabin with a solid white wall verandah. The good thing about the room is it was very close to the secret deck. Many times we would see Mickey and Minnie as well as Goofy out there.
