A very enjoyable experience! This was our second cruise this year. Although the NCL Spirit did not have the acclaim of the more popular and larger NCL Dawn, this was still a very memorable sailing for my wife and I. Because we were Latitudes members, embarkation was achieved within 15 minutes of our arrival at 11:30 am. What made this trip significant was the total fare for our passage compared to our earlier sailing. It truly paid to watch last minute offerings and especially so with AARP. If you've reached the half century mark like us, it will reward you in dividends to become a member.

On Sept. 14th I reviewed the weekly AARP newsletter and had never previously reviewed their travel section. When I discovered the paltry sum they were asking for the six day cruise from NYC to Port Canaveral, Nassau and Stirrup Key; I could not believe it and immediately jumped on the offering.

We sailed on 9/24 and could not have chosen a better bargain. No hurricane or foul weather to disrupt this voyage. Because we were Latitudes members we were given an upgrade in our stateroom from the lowest level to the next higher level on deck 5. On the dawn we had a beautiful balcony suite and had thought we were totally spoiled and would not enjoy being relegated to the bowels of the ship. We were truly so wrong about that. Although we only had a rather large but picturesque portal it made for rather enjoyable viewing.
