In January this year we booked our first ever cruise and decided on the Marco Polo's 6 week cruise in Jan/Feb 2014 from Tilbury to the Amazon and all ports in between.

Whilst researching the ship and cruise on the Internet we came across the overnight Events during March.......booked a event a couple of weeks ago and Friday 29th saw us driving from Somerset to Tilbury to join the ship at 6.15pm.......having read very mixed reviews on this forum we were unsure what to expect.....From the moment we drove into the car park we were treated as though we were special and nothing was to much trouble for the crew who looked after our every need. We had booked a grade 12 cabin and it was better and bigger than expected........the cabin we have booked for the Amazon cruise is a grade 11 and we went and found cabin 601 and as the door was unlocked we sneaked a look inside, again it was absolutely fine and we are now looking forward to our cruise next winter.

The evening meal was excellent, the waiters superb, the show and cabaret was also very good.
