Never having been at sea 5 days in a row, we were afraid we might get bored. Not the case. We loved every minute of it! The activities were diversified and abundant. The entertainment was quality, plentiful, and scheduled so people at both dinner sittings could enjoy them. The ship was very clean. Crew could be seen on a daily basis vacuuming common areas, wiping down chaise chair cushions with disinfectant, or polishing glass and brass. During peak usage times, public restrooms were manned with an attendant who cleaned commodes every 30 mins. and kept the vanity wiped dry. The individual cloth hand towels were a nice touch too. Hand sanitizer was not only offered at the entrance to all dining areas, but frequently was dispensed by a staff member. No doubt Celebrity is working very hard to prevent the spread of illness. Everyone, including maintenance crew, was super friendly and said "hello" when ever passed. The officers, including the Captain, participated with the passengers in water volleyball, shuffleboard, bean bag toss, and other activities.

We found the excursions to be reasonably priced and they offered a discount for booking 3 excursions at the same time. In Hilo, the Secrets of Puna was a much better excursion than expected from the description. Others in our group of 12 felt the same way. The Concierge Class C2 was well worth the additional $100 per cabin. Priority check-in with express luggage delivery and priority disembarkation were worth it without all the other amenities like chilled sparkling wine upon arrival, daily flowers, fruit, and hors d'oeuvres, etc. Concierge Class boasts "guest to staff ratio of nearly 2:1" when in fact we had two cabin stewards maintaining 16 cabins! Considering that work load, it's commendable they were able to provide all the added concierge services as well as they did. The binoculars furnished in the cabin were a joke! I suggest you take your own. The complimentary shoeshine service appeared to be the shoe cloth provided in the cabin. (surely the cabin stewards weren't expected to shine shoes too!??)

On the downside, the mattress that was billed "premium" was not very comfortable nor were any of the 4 pillows. Also, during disembarkation, the baggage handlers misplaced two pieces of our luggage. One we found in a different numbered area and the second was found about an hour after we left the port, after filing a lost claim, and were going through airport security. No attempt was made to deliver it in time for our flight or to send it on a later flight. We were told it would be a week before we'd receive it. It's been on week today and we haven't received it yet.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class

Cabin C2

Overall, cabin was in a good location. The bed was advertised as having a premium mattress and a choice of pillows, but mattress was not top quality and pretty thin. We were to have a pillow menu but never saw one. Pillows were really soft and small.

Closets were ample as well as drawers for clothes.

Balcony chairs should be a little better quality for concierge levels and above. It was hard to sit in chair with metal bar cutting circulation off in your legs.
