Got to pick a pocket or two

Sail Date: March 2013
Destination: South Pacific
Embarkation: Other
I am so disapointed with Thompson's this is our third Thompson cruise and last with them, they are penny pinching on the things that matter? My point being the chocs off the pillow at night have gone how disapointing is that, the fluffy blue towels have been replaced with off white worn towels, the toiletries are non existant.

The food was not up to the usual standard, and 15.00 pound for a safety box, also charge for washing clothes 15.00 a bag, tip go to 1st floor and wash own 2.00 dryer and iron free.

The way you come into the Lido Lounge to eat is silly people line up both ends, but it takes a few days to click onto this and the set out of the food leaves people streaming up and down in all different directions drove me barmy. And as for seats its a race to get a table the room is far too small for the amount of passengers. The sun beds were of poor quality and not enough room on deck to sit. The pool very small.
The entertainment in the Theatre quite good but More got predictable, and i dont no who designed the costumes for those poor girls the dresses looked like they had come straight from an Amish farm did nothing for them and the boys didnt fare any better. Shame such talent spoilt by dress sense and production... We spent most of our time in the High Spirits bar were most of the fun was the band in there were very good. The coctails on the boat were boring but drink selections good, Shopping not very exicting same stuff watches/bags yawn
The trips
Cairo i was so shocked at Cairo going through to the Pyramids warning leave all your possessions on the coach or you will be robbed, apart from your camera, warning do not give your camera to anyone they will charge you for taking a picture, and if any one comes up to you with a jacket saying security i take pic say no still ten pounds, they will harass you non stop and chase after you with camels, i got upset at how cruel they are to the horses hitting there shins with sticks to make them jump cruel people to animals you see horses tied up every where even on the street malnourished and thirsty.
We got tough and said no and meant it and anything they put in our hands we put on the floor.

Bethlehem and Nazareth where superb, the guide was wonderful, every one takes euros or american dollars we did not need the egyptian pounds disapointing stop off for lunch take a snack with you or you will get a fish dinner fried with or without its head hahaha . We didnt dock in port saide so cant comment on that .

Didnt see Limassol our starting port call as busy unpacking etc but it looked lovely. The picture house good, we didn't have time to go .

We did two trips and each were over 10 hours far too long Thompson we were all exhausted when we got back but to see everything it has to be done... Please make sure you go to Israel so lovely as are the people. The staff on this boat 10/10 cannot fault them tip top everyone friendly and helpful, yes the boat is old but running it down to early Thomson your taking away the special touches.......... I might try the dream as i hear its 5 star but celebration and Spirit now need to retire... Less
