  • Destination: the Eastern Caribbean
  • Cabin Type: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Upon arrival & check-in,in Ft. Lauderdale, several things went wrong. First, it wasn't our names printed on our room sea-pass card. Reissued but then didn't have the drink package sticker attached. The photo equipment quit working. Finally told to go upstairs for holding. Several rows of seats were empty close to front but staff told us to start filling up the back of the room. Before boarding started, those who arrived after us were allowed to take the seats in front which we weren't allowed to take. Therefore, when boarding started, I saw their section start to line up to board. I mentioned it to the staff that we were here before that section but they ignored me and proceeded to let them board.

When disembarking, the staff member organizing the Opus dining section said that the hold up was due to customs. Several people standing with us had NO luggage as they had paid to have it transported to the airport. They were told to wait in line with everyone else. There were NO announcements of sections & of times.

The cruise, food & entertainment were good. A few shows were postponed due to weather but were rescheduled. Sometimes they conflicted with other event times but we worked it out. All in All, we enjoyed it. Just don't expect embarking & disembarking to go smoothly.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Nassau

Wish there were more shops on the pier.

St. Maarten

Free trolly to take you to & from the pier. Lots of shops. Didn't do an excursion this time.

Beach

Went to Sapphire beach. The excursion included chair & snorkel equipment plus a drink. The setting was beautiful although the water was rough. Beware of large boulders under the water.
