My husband and I took our first cruise on the Carnival Legend on 3/3/13. It was an extremely enjoyable vacation for us and we met lots of new friends while onboard. The food was very enjoyable in the dining room, we had no complaints. The Lido Deck Buffet was good,a pretty good assortment of food so that no one went hungry. Our room steward Mart was wonderful, our room was cleaned spotless twice a day. Luh Luh and Wesly in Truffles Dining room were wonderful servers and so much fun to be around. We disliked the decor of the ship, it was way overdone with all the urn's everywhere on the ship. That is really our only complaint about our cruise. We chose this cruise because it had 4 ports of call. We enjoyed each one and had an excursion planned for each. I'll list them in more detail below.

Cozumel: We arrived in port and was ferried over to Playa Del Carmen to begin our Mayan Ruins of Tulum tour. We booked through Carnival simply because it is a 7 hour tour including the transportation to and from the ship. The ruins and the beach were so beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tulum. There are shops at the ruins, but they are pretty overpriced although the food we had was pretty good.

Belize: We booked our excursion through cavetubing.bz because of the high reviews they have on cruise critic and also Trip Advisor. Our tour guide Gerson was very easy to find outside of terminal and made us feel right at home as we got our group together. Vitalino actually met us all before we took off, we was impressed that he would take the time to do this! We took off towards the caves in an air conditioned van and enjoyed seeing the beautiful mountains on our way there. Our other tour guide Axel kept everyone interested on the way there by telling us all about Belize, the culture and cave tubing. We all had our own tubes that were linked together and enjoyed the float through several different caves. It was simply amazing to be in a real rainforest and to see the splendor of the caves. Our guides offered several times to take pictures of us with out OWN cameras. Afterwards we went to Vitalino's place and was given a decent sized lunch of chicken, rice and rum punch. Vitalino met us all there as well and we shook his hand and really thanked him for such wonderful guides and a wonderful tour. He is a very humble man, we highly recomend his tour!
