Embarkation was easy, We spent the night in New Orleans and went to the ship about noon and were on board by 1;30. We toured the ship and had a snack by the pool. Went to our room to unpack, lots of storage and could store luggage under the bed. We loved the balcony and our room location 10th deck mid ship forward. Our room steward war Harod and was fantastic. We watched the ship leave New Orleans and the sun set in the Bier Garden on the top deck. We had purchased the 3 special restaurant package and the first one was the Italian restaurant La Cucina. We played black jack at the casino and then went to dinner. I had Osso bucco with pasta that was great, others were not as happy with their food. The pasta with lobster had very little lobster. Next day at sea we had lunch in Versailles, food was good but service was slow. Toured the ship some more and went to the art show. We also played in the slot tournament and the black jack tournament. Every night we went to the bier garden to have a drink and watch the sun set, this was a perfect way to end each day at sea. We ate at Aqua and were very pleased with the food and service.

Tuesday we took the ship sponsored tour of Chacchoben Mayan Ruins just an hour outside of Costa Maya. We were pleased that it was better than we expected. A large site with several structures and one that is still covered with trees and vegetation.

That night was Cagneys and it was very good. I had the small steak and lobster that was delicious. Others had steak that was perfectly cooked. That night we saw second city and it was funny and entertaining. Back to the casino for black jack before bed.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Room 10090 with balcony. Perfect location. We went to deck 6 and 12 most of the time and could easily walk. Also this seemed to be a good place on the ship when we were in rough water. Our room did not seem to have the rocking that other places on the boat had.
