This was our seventh Celebrity cruise (going back to the original Meridian in the early 1990's) and our fifth CA - Hawaii cruise overall. We have always considered Celebrity high quality at a very competitive price but this particular voyage was a disappointment. (We were on the Eclipse last March and it was terrific, a huge contrast.) Celebrity has long been known for excellent dining, but on this particular cruise the food in the main dining room was mediocre at best and on two nights, after sending two different entres back, we left without eating and had a snack in the buffet. At breakfast and lunch in the buffet there were times when no coffee cups or silverware were available. While touted as having a sushi bar, sushi is available ONLY from 5:00 - 9:00 in the buffet; I would hardly call that a "sushi bar". The ship is overdue for the refurbishing that I'm told is scheduled for next year. We had some toilet malfunctions (nothing major), some passengers on lower decks had flooding of their staterooms (one day), a tender cable snapped sending a tender into the sea in La Haina disabling it (no injuries), and electrical service to the kitchens was lost for a couple of hours delaying late seating dining in the main dining room as well as the alternate dining room.

Service to our suite was excellent but service on deck was sparse and slow. We will sail on Celebrity again given our prior excellent experiences, but another voyage like this one will sour us on this cruise line.
