We have enjoyed 26 cruises, 4 of them transatlantic, and all of them have met or exceeded our expectations. Just because the Destiny was headed for refurbishment, shouldn't have meant the passengers had to deal with the de-construction zone inconveniences and noises throughout the night. Other passengers have described the poor food and entertainment and sealed-off elevators, etc.

However, the fact that we had no way of controlling the A/C which was continually pumped into our staterooms was the final straw! Guest Relations seemed unconcerned and non-apologetic when lines of passengers, dressed in jackets and gloves (INDOORS), complained. We were told that none of Carnival's ships have heat! (What do they do in Alaska??)

We had to sleep in our hooded sweatsuits with extra blankets. We both became sick with bronchitis. My husband is now, 4 weeks later, recovering from pneumonia! (Also, there were very few hand sanitizers to be found, unlike most ships, and some of those were out of fluid.)

No complaints. Steward was one of the best we have ever had. Could have used a mini fridge.
