VALUE FOR THE MONEY: Excellent! We waited 3 weeks before we booked and paid $2056 for Interior Cabin. Room was small but we knew that going into it. We don't spend much time in the room as we get up early and stay active. We asked the room steward to keep the pull down beds(from ceiling) setup all the time in case kids wanted to go to bed early- worked out fine and was a place for them to sit out of the way when we had to go back to the room to change, etc. FOOD: was Good. Dining Room food was mediocre we thought. They advertised filet but was nothing even close to filet. Was more link flat iron or shoe leather! Maybe the cruise lines use different grades of meat than what we are used to. We ate at the Lido deck most of the time. Punchliner breakfast was good. Note: Typically almost all the time they have the same menu items at the Lido Buffet as they serve in the dining rooms that night. You can also view the menus, shore excursions, etc on your television in your stateroom. Guys Burgers was excellent. Our favorite was the Tandoor (Indian Food) section on the back of the ship (near Tides Pool). ENTERTAINMENT: Was good. The musical shows were just okay. We walked out on 2 of them. The comedians were good (Butch Bradley was great), Spinnist/Comedian "Edge" was grea and the Hasbro gameshow was good too. For the gameshow they do not pick families. They randomly pick people in the audience (with good energy) and make up 2 teams that way. They have the typical cruise entertainment- Hairy Chest, Mr. Carnival, Ms. Carnival (funny) & a Mixologist contest. SkyCourt (Ropes Course), Miniature Golf, Waterworks: The Kids Loved, Adults as well! Note: For the Skycourt you have to be at least 48" or taller and wear closed toe shoes (no flipflops or sandals) Cruise Director "Butch" from Minnesota was great and good energy! CONS: I think Carnival did some budget cutting as they used to have the calypso bands playing with caribbean music AND used to play live music when leaving ports. That was always one of my favorite things but there is no sail away party like there used to be, unfortunately. Notes: 1)If you are planning to get a room upgrade you must do it before embarkation. They do not allow any upgrades on the day of sailing. 2) All Inclusive Drinks (alcoholic) for those that like to drink (a lot) the Breeze offers a drink card where you can have all your drinks (cocktails and beers included but no more than 15 drinks per day. You must purchase for all cruising days not just selected days and if 2 adults are in cabin they require that both get it as they do not want any sharing, etc. Not transferable either. I think you have to do a lot of drinking if you think you are going to get your $ worth :( 3) Gratuities: Are added automatically to your bill after day 2. If you don't want them automatically added in case you don't dine in the Blush or Sapphire you can have them removed from your account and leave cash for the room steward, etc. 4) Jimmys C-Side BBQ: is only open on Sea Days and hours are only 12pm-2:30pm 5)Italian Restaurant is extra fee but they do offer free pasta bar lunch for lunch hours only. Dinner is additional cost, not included in your trip as well as the Steakhouse for dinner is additional.

GREAT CRUISE & KIDS LOVED CAMP CARNIVAL TOO!

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin 4F 8456
Small room for 4 people (2 kids and 2 adults) but it is what we expected trying to stay on a budget. Good enough closet space- 2 closets to hang clothes and one closet with about 5 shelves. Dresser had about 3-4 drawers. We made it work. Bring EXTRA hangers from home!

  • Antigua
We absolutely loved it. We took a local taxi for $40 roundtrip to Jolly Beach. Driver (Lennon Charles was our driver) he was very friendly and went out of his way to make some stops for us at a few stores to and from Jolly Beach. Access to beach is free and it is so beautiful. I said it over and over again, just couldnt get over it. Stunning!

This trip we went to Junkanoo Beach. I don't recommend going in the water but if you do wear water shoes or Crocs. There is broken glass all over and beer top cans. A lot of rocks and shells all over too. Perfect if you just want to lay on the beach with a drink, listen to some live music and 15 min. walk from cruise. Easy walking!
Later we dropped the kids off to Camp Carnival and went to Senor Frogs. Good Drinks. Best bang for your buck is getting "The Yard" drink $16 but strong and good. The Bahama Mama and Hurricane are pretty strong. Fun balloon hats, Congo line and free shots on Congo line. Last year they had some swings near the bar but I didn't see them this time. There were 6 ships docked in Nassau too, a lot of people around!
Cable Beach is a nice beach. We went here last year but you can easily get here by taking a $1.25 Jitney Bus to and from (15-20 min ride).

  • Beach Break
St. Thomas was overcast, cold and raining. I know it is a beatiful island but the cold weather and rain didnt do much justice. The kids didnt seem to care though they still played in the sand and swam for about 2 hours.
Trip costed about $52 for 4 of us to and from the beach with admission for 2 adults into Magans Bay.
Admission to Magans Bay is $4/adult and Children are free. $40 Cab fare

  • Tortola
Tortola was nice. There was not as much shopping as compared to the other ports. We only went to the Dolphin Discovery to swim with the Dolphins. I purchased 2 adult tickets and 2 child tickets directly through the company and only paid $212 total (using their coupon code) AWESOME DEAL! Cruise line charges $169 per person. We walked there (30 min. walk) and took a taxi back paying $10 to get back.
