Spent 2 days in Miami prior to cruise. Drove down from Jacksonville so air travel was not an issue. Arrived at port around 12:30. Boarding was a breeze and took less than 10 minutes.

Open areas of the Majesty are beautiful. Rooms are quite dated but not uncomfortably so. This was our first RCCL cruise. We have been on 5 prior with Carnival. The rooms on this ship are considerably smaller than the Carnival Fantasy or Fascination. As are the bathrooms. Still not small enough to put a damper on things. Plenty of storage area. We packed light for this cruise bringing only 3 suitcases. Closet held most everything and small drawers in vanity held the rest and felt very organized.

Pool area is nice although we missed not having a slide. Jacuzzis are large and comfortably warm. Plenty of lounge chairs on this deck and we never had a problem finding several empties side-by-side. Pool bar attendants are attentive but not pushy. The disappointments we experienced on this cruise that we had become accustomed to on Carnival are #1 - the not-so-festive atmosphere on the pool deck. Music was almost non-existent unless we somehow missed it every time we were there. 2 nights the pool bar closed at 9:00 pm.
