To begin our cruise, we decided to spend the first night in South Beach. We stayed at the Ritz, but if I had it to do over again, would have chosen the Delano as the pool at the Ritz was one of the ugliest pools we have ever seen.
The next morning we took a short cab ride to the terminal and had a wonderful experience getting on the ship. We arrived about 3 hours before sailing and there were no crowds. Also because of having booked a suite, we had priority embarkation.
I would really recommend this to everyone whose budget it fits into, as the basic suite is really a nice size and layout with a separate seated makeup vanity outside the bathroom. This made it very easy for two people to get dressed for dinner at the same time.
