Background: Couple is late thirties. 7 previous cruises - last 6 on Celebrity. We decided to try another cruise line and leave our kids and parents at home for the Nov. 15th Serenade of the Seas Southern Carib. cruise.

Travel: No problem. Non-stop from Detroit. Taxi to Pam Am $17.50 for 2 adults & 3 bags (see dispatcher). At the pier about 3:30; on board around 4:00. Online docs seemed to speed things up a bit.

The Ship: The nicest ship we have ever sailed aboard. Millennium a close second. Beautiful common areas, lounges, etc. Nice artwork. Comfortable seating. The pool is too small for sea days but they used the extra space for the Solarium, which is beautiful. Not much use in the Caribbean but will be nice for Alaska.
