This was our 7th cruise. We are in our early 50's and have previously sailed twice on Princess, once on Holland America, once on Celebrity, once on Norwegian and twice on Carnival. Our first Carnival cruise was on the Triumph in Oct 2005 and we said we would not sail on Carnival again. This cruise on the Carnival Glory was much different.
Embarkation in Port Canaveral was a breeze. Our first day was a sea day and it was great. Spent the day by the pool and got dressed for formal night. Our dining room experience was wonderful. We had an 8pm seating in the Platinum Dining Room at table 321, a table for six which was the number of people in our party. Our waiter, Norwell and Assistant Marin were great. The attended to our every need and made dinner a time to look forward to and remember. Food was also very good.
Our first stop was in Cozumel which was a little disappointing. We had been to Cozumel on a previous cruise prior to the Hurricanes last year and found it much different this time. The port was no longer there. The shop owners almost seemed desperate and we felt bad for them. We look forward to Cozumel getting back to normal.
