Things I learned from this cruise: 1. Make sure Air Tahiti checks your luggage all the way thru to your final destination. 2. Be very flexible if booking shore tours on line. 3. Enjoy every minute (we did). 4. Go a day before and stay after the cruise. 5. Always wear a bathing suit and water shoes on all shore tours. 6. Learn French!!!

After years of planning we final got to go on this cruise and it was the best ever! We flew out to LAX the day before and stayed at the Westin (booked thru Priceline) Spent the afternoon at Manhattan Beach (took the free trolley). Beaches is a good restaurant, Brew pub fun too! Arrived at LAX early, easy but weird check-in. We used a sky cap right from the free hotel shuttle. He took us and the luggage right in and helped us find our way. Well worth the tip for all his help. Took ATN. Uneventful, long, but lots of movies to see and free drinks too. They suggested we sleep but we just couldnt, too excited. Arrived at night, going thru customs and getting luggage was very easy. We did take a cab and not the Princess bus transfers so we beat the bus crowd to the ship. That was great! We were on the ship by 8 pm, in time to eat dinner. Chris checked us in, later we found out he was the cruise director. It is a very small ship and you get to know the crew well and we really liked that.

The cabin was beautiful, we were in 7088. All the wood and giant mirror made it look so much bigger! The cabin has enclosed balcony we loved that. We would have made great use of, if it hadnt rained so much, but we there during the trade winds and the end of rainy season and the tail end of a cyclone. When we got on the ship, the room was still not made up, and they had from 10am that morning. We had to track down our room steward for towels, and pillows. Our room steward left much to be desired! He got better as time went on and was OK by the end. We ate at the buffet very average, but we didnt come for the food. We went to the ship show that nite, it was a local dance group TAE MAEVA and it got us right into vacation mode with great amazing hip action, actually all the local talent was very good and not to be missed. When we arrived we met our new CC friends. They were life savers many times and I cant thank them enough.
