What could be better; we sailed to 10 destinations in 2 weeks! Barbados, Tobago, Curacao, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Tortola, BVI, St. Lucia, Antigua, The Grenadines.
Not too much for the children to do on the ship during the day except be with other kids, but who cares - every day we went to the beach almost! Kids club on board was mainly for the under 10s. However the teenagers managed to 'Find' each other at night time and headed for the Skylark nightclub.
Service on Braemar is 2nd to none. Absolutely brilliant. Food excellent. Entertainment very very good. Fabulous cruise directors and entertainment staff - all knew our names by the end of the cruise.
Cabins very spacious and well appointed. Not luxury but very clean and the best beds! Scandinavian quilts, chocs on pillow at night. cabins cleaned at least twice a day.
Sports deck great fun. Organized games every day. Quizzes, bingo and numerous lectures.
Fred Olsen Lines certainly have something very special to offer their guests. I cannot really find fault with their product at all. Small ship cruising at its best. Braemar is only 19,000 tonnes and only carries about 700 when full. Good deal of single cabins and family 4 berths, but lacks the balcony cabins like the newer vessels.
Excursions very well organized by very efficient staff and plenty to chose from. We swam with stingrays and dolphins.
Give it a try! Give it a try - !!
