This was my 9th cruise (2nd with Princess) and the wifes 5th cruise (2nd with Princess). We are in our 30s and have one child that did not travel with us. We flew direct from Orlando, Florida to San Juan, arriving at the airport around 11am.
Embarkation: A little disappointed here. We arrived at the airport around 11, met the Princess rep and got our transfer to the dock. The ride was very quick and we were in line at 11:40am. We did not get on the ship until 1:30. They ask that you not arrive very early and I would suggest you listen to this, had we arrived at 2, we would have probably walked right on to the ship. Also, the building you line up in was very warm. While Im from Florida and am used to the heat, many of the folks in line were not, and suffered in clothes meant for wherever they flew from.
Stateroom: We were in a MINI Suite on the Dolphin deck, cabin D529. Loved the extra space and 2nd tv in this cabin. We did deal with engine smells on our balcony, not sure if this was due to the wind currents or what, but it was noticeable. Room steward (Salvador) was nice and attentive to our requests.
