We departed Long Beach in April 2006 after arriving at the Long Beach Airport around noon. Since we were too late for early check in we dropped off our bags in the parking garage and got into a long line. After getting into the dome about a half hour later we were directed to other lines before getting on board. The whole process took about an hour and was pretty painless. Make sure to do the online check in ahead of time.

Our cabins were misrepresented by our travel agent (RCI). We were on the Main Deck (deck 4) and our view was almost totally obscured by the life boat. However there were French doors that provided lots of air. The cabin was very comfortable and well thought out, however the bed was as hard as a rock. There is only one outlet so bring a power strip.

I was surprisingly impressed with the food. Everything I had was very good, except a lobster that was mushy. However my sons was perfect. If you drink wine-bring your own. They say there is a $10 corkage fee, but they never charge it.
