Embarkation went well despite the prior warnings by Princess that we should delay getting on the ship until after 2:00pm due to 3 ships in port and the Mardi Gras parades and celebrations going on adjacent to the piers. We arrived at EZ Cruise parking at 11:00am. We arrived by shuttle to the pier at 11:20am at that time there was about 200 people in line the doors had not opened yet to allow for check in. Doors opened about 10 minutes after we arrived. We were in our stateroom by 11:45am.

We had a Baja Balcony room on the port side. This was our first balcony stateroom. We loved it and will probably not cruise in anything else in the future. The stateroom was nice although the storage was a bit odd but we were able to get everything put away. Our room steward was wonderful and took great care of us for the week.

We were celebrating our anniversary on this cruise and I had noted that on our online registration. There were balloons outside our stateroom door. The crew for the most part was very friendly and helpful with the exception of a lot of the bar staff.
