A mini review of a mini cruise to Baja

Because the Vision was able to finish her regularly scheduled drydock earlier than expected, RCI added this three day mini cruise to the schedule early in 2003. The Vision normally does 7 day Mexican Riviera cruises, and the newly reconfigured Monarch starts doing 3 and 4 day Baja cruises in June. So because it was a "last minute" addition, the pricing was incredible and they dropped their usual 200% single occupancy supplement to 150% - even on the suites. My friend Ron and I decided it was too easy to pass up, especially considering we are based in LA. So we each booked a B suite. I am just shy of 40, and this was my third RCI cruise, and fifth overall. But I travel extensively all of the time for pleasure and business. I am single, and although I travel with my friend Ron quite a bit, we are very different travelers. He likes to chill and hole up in his cabin, and I like to be social. So even when we travel together, I am really traveling solo, so the ability to socialize in a fun atmosphere is important to me.
