Sail Date: Feb 2006

We sailed on the Glory Feb 11 on the Western Caribbean tour. Scheduled stops were Key West, Belize and Costa Maya. This was our third cruise, second on Carnival and first on the Glory. I read all the previous reviews about the Glory and honestly had a mixed feeling about the ship. How could so many people have such different opinions? Anyway we had a very nice time despite a couple of major glitches (more later). We plan to cruise again and will go on Carnival but will try another ship just for the experience.

We found the staff on board were very friendly and helpful. The ship was clean and events seemed to stay on time. How Carnival managed a major problem should be on interest to cruisers; especially those first time travelers. and that happened on our cruise.

Embarkation took a long time. I guess we got at port the wrong time as there were long lines to wait to get through security and to get documents etc. It took us two hours to get on board. Our cabin was just fine and our cabin stewart was super. We tipped him extra on the first day and I think that helps. Our cabin was always clean and made up while we were gone.
