This was the first NCL cruise for my wife and me. We chose the cruise basically on price, and thought we'd "get what we paid for." We were pleasantly surprised.

Transfers from airport to pier were handled very well. Embarkation and disembarkation were rapid and accurate. Our outside cabin was very adequate--lots of storage, and a good use of space in the bathroom. Only one complaint: when we asked to have the beds put together we got exactly that. There was no pad to bridge the gap between the two beds.

Food quality was excellent, but lacking in variety, especially on the buffets. Most of the food was a little on the bland side, but still tasty. Dining rooms were much more spacious than on any other ship we've sailed on, but the buffet was very crowded. Service was excellent, but not enough to go around. It looks like NCL is trying to get every server to do the work of three. They were all hard-working but overworked.
