This was our first cruise so I have nothing to compare this with. My sister is a seasoned cruiser and she recommended RC and this ship. Overall, our experience was quite positive. We are early 50s with no children. We just wanted a nice long weekend of pampering.

Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived about 1 pm and only spent a short time on line before we boarded. Our balcony stateroom was quite roomy with enough space for all our things. Our cabin attendant Jose was quite attentive and did a great job. Meals in the dining room were all great. Our waiter did a fine job of recommending particular dishes and we were never disappointed with these choices. Food in the Windjammer Cafe is typical buffet style fare - nothing exciting but adequate when you are in a hurry or just want to be more casual. The midnight buffet was worth staying up for -- even if just to see the display. They served shrimp, caviar, decadent desserts and pastries, etc. Shows in the evening were fine -- not Broadway caliber but entertaining. During the day there was always something to do (cooking class, bingo, poolside games, etc.)

The ship is 10 years old so there are signs of age, but nothing that detracted from the experience. The center atrium and general layout of the ship is beautiful. Easy to find your way around.
