We just returned from a wonderful cruise to Alaska---all thanks to Cruise Critic!!! Our fabulous cruise was only made better by our friends we met on CC. It wouldn't have been the same without them. Since the Radiance has been reviewed heavily, I'm going to stick to a few points that I feel were not covered adequately.

Embarkation was pretty painless. We got to Ballantyne Pier at about 11:30 and we were in our room by 12:45. They began boarding at noon sharp and we were called at about 12:20 (group 4). I would definitely recommend getting there early, so you have time to roam around the ship before it gets crowded. We didn't wait very long, but the lines were starting to fill up quickly behind us.

Our cabin was absolutely lovely. We had a category D, a balcony on deck 9. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. There was a ton of storage space...the closet was huge. The bathroom was small (to be expected) but clean. There was a medicine cabinet and a shelf under the sink.
