We boarded the Carnival Glory on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2005, at Port Canaveral. We arrived at the Port early, around noon, and boarded the ship within 30 minutes. Overall, the cruise to the Western Caribbean was a good time. We stopped at Key West, Belize and Costa Maya, and spent three days at sea. This was our ninth cruise on various cruise lines. Our general comments are as follows:

·For a Carnival ship, the food was outstanding ·Service in the dining rooms was just OK, the staff was great, but they just had too many tables to serve ·The design of the ship, the Glory, was a little bizarre; there was no deck where you could walk around the perimeter of the entire ship. The passengers were forced to the top decks if you wanted to be outside. All of the lower outside decks dead-ended. Only deck three even had a door that could be opened to get outside. It wasnt easy to move around the ship.

One of the main dining rooms was located in the middle of the ship, which at times made it difficult to get around. We also found ourselves often running into dead-ends when we thought we should be able to get through. The ship also had too many poles in the dining rooms. This made it difficult for the staff to maneuver around and required some guests to sit close to the table to allow the servers by. The dining rooms had too many tables.
