We had a wonderful vacation aboard the Norwegian Sky from March 16th, 2003 to March 23, 2003.
We arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico on time, direct from Toronto. The representatives for the shuttle service which was provided by Encore, were right there with their signs in hand, after we had cleared through at the airport. It was very easy to board the shuttle buses which took everyone right over to the pier for embarkation. We found embarkation to be very organized. As long as you had your papers in hand with proper ID, forms completed, there was no problem. We were given our Sign and Sail card immediately. All of this was handled in the big building on the dock. As we proceeded up the escalators, we passed by a number of shops such as liquor stores, etc. There were a couple of little booths set up where you could sample some of the liquor drinks - nice and cold and yummy. We made a couple of rounds!!
Bottles are confiscated as you go through security to board the ship which are held until the last day of the trip. If you purchase liquor onboard, these bottles are held as well and you claim them on the last day.
