First let me state that my wife and I have cruise many times on Royal Caribbean. This however was our first cruise on the Voyager of the Seas class of ship.

Since you never are in any one port of call for very long we always consider the ship as the primary destination. We enjoyed the cruise very much and would cruise on the Voyager again (but next time without over 700 children onboard). The ship was completely booked and given that it arrived late from the previous Bermuda sailing embarkation was a mess to say the least. We had been given advance warning by our travel agent that the ship would be coming in late and that we should plan on arriving around 4-5 PM to board.

Well that didn't happen, it seemed that the Bermuda passengers were disembarking as the Western Caribbean passengers were showing up to board. We finally got onboard around 8:30. We spoke with some people would didn't get aboard until almost 10:30. First night's dinner never happened. About the 'Royal Promenade', its definitely big but my wife and I aren't sure it really 'adds' anything to the ship overall. Given the size of the ship the shops onboard-seemed small. The Cafe Promenade would sit no more than 50-60 people I would guess both the Pig & Whistle and Sports bar slightly more. Which meant that often it was difficult to find a seat in the cafe.
