DH and I sailed the Legend to the Southern Caribbean on 11/9/05 to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We booked an 8G guarantee, but the upgrade fairy was kind and we received a suite (cabin 5264). This was our 9th cruise, our 8th with Carnival.

We purchased airfare through JetBlue and arrived in Fort Lauderdale around 10:15 am the day of the cruise (took a red eye from Sacramento). We gathered our luggage and grabbed a taxi to the cruise terminal ($16 for the trip).

Upon arriving at the terminal at about 11 am, we quickly noticed a mess. The previous cruise hadn't debarked and there was a long line of people waiting to go on the next cruise. After about 1/2 an hour, the previous cruisers started to exit and the mess got even worse. Taxis bringing people in couldn't get near the terminal because of all the people leaving.
