DH and I sailed the Legend to the Southern Caribbean on 11/9/05 to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We booked an 8G guarantee, but the upgrade fairy was kind and we received a suite (cabin 5264). This was our 9th cruise, our 8th with Carnival.

We purchased airfare through JetBlue and arrived in Fort Lauderdale around 10:15 am the day of the cruise (took a red eye from Sacramento). We gathered our luggage and grabbed a taxi to the cruise terminal ($16 for the trip).

Upon arriving at the terminal at about 11 am, we quickly noticed a mess. The previous cruise hadn't debarked and there was a long line of people waiting to go on the next cruise. After about 1/2 an hour, the previous cruisers started to exit and the mess got even worse. Taxis bringing people in couldn't get near the terminal because of all the people leaving. The line continued to get longer and eventually wound down the street.
