We loved our 8D class balcony room immensely...it was PLENTY big, (about 10 wide X 18 deep) and the regular-sized (4 feet deep x 10 feet wide) balcony absolutely large enough for two people. We kept the curtains wide open during day...keeping the room bright. And when in room, kept balcony door open (it opens outward) by using a bungie-cord...there's nothing quite like the sound of the ocean while ship is moving at 17-23 knots, especially while sleeping. We worried about privacy before seeing the actual balcony...they are built to provide maximum privacy. We had mostly quiet neighbors, and nearly ALL passengers were pleasant throughout. Very few children were on board, since no school holidays were in effect.

The Legend was awesome to look at, although for first couple of days, we were completely lost, as to which direction to find our room! Each of the three areas having elevators and stairs looked identical, and you would always get on and off the elevators in different directions...after a while we got a LITTLE better at it. By the way, the elevators are so quiet ! This was a relief, since our room was very close to the center atrium elevator bank.

OK, regarding overall ship condition...it is fantastic, fun to look at, and spotlessly clean. There are three small pools, 3 whirlpools, huge areas for dining and drinking, overwhelming number of lounge chairs for sunbathing, great music, both recorded and live. There is lots of light everywhere.
