Well our cruise was from 9-18-5 to 9-24-5 and it was the best vacation I ever had. The beginning was a little rough being we got married here in NJ the day before our cruise so we were up bright and early at 5am to catch a flight from PHL to FLL. When we landed in Florida we collected our luggage and then spent awhile looking for the Carnival Shuttle Service. When we first got there we thought that would be easy because there were a few other cruise lines holding up signs letting people know they were the shuttle service to take them to their ship. This is really the only issue and it really was not so much a problem because we just walked up to a person holding up a sign for a different cruise line and asked how we could find a Carnival Cruise Rep who was in charge of shuttle service. If you are taking the Carnival Shuttle Service from the FLL airport to the ship just look for the people in the red coats..........they do not hold up signs but once you find them they are very helpful.
Ok........well I am starting to think this is going to be a long review but bear with me and hopefully you can get some useful information to help you on your cruise
We pulled up to the pier between 1:30 and 2 pm and if I could do it all over again we would have been there a few hours earlier because the line to embark was soooooooooooo very long. It took us from that time till about 3:15ish to actually get through the line and get onboard. While in line though we found out that we were going to the Western Caribbean instead of Eastern due to (at the time) Tropical Storm Rita. Not a big deal for us because well we were on our honeymoon and were just happy to get away to somewhere, didn't matter where.(and to be honest with you I am so glad we went western because between swimming with the stingrays in the Caymans and climbing the waterfall in Jamaica I had the best time of my life.)
