Well, I just wanted to post a quick review of our great trip to French Polynesia. We were 5 days pre-cruise at Le Meridien, which we booked independently from the cruise line. We had an overwater bungalow, which was amazing. I would suggest anyone do it at least once! As for the cruise, it exceeded our expectations. The ship is well appointed for being small, with dark woods and deep coloured upholsteries. The Club restaurant had great food every night, and both Sabatini's and the Sterling Steakhouse are well worth the extra fee. The buffet was a little less desirable for lunch, but breakfast was always enjoyable, and the views are second to none.
Our balcony cabin was a decent size, and the beds were very comfortable, although I know some people don't like them, we had no problems. Our room steward was excellent, and very attentive. We used the balcony for the "balcony breakfast" and I highly recommend ordering it. It was a lot of food, but very tasty, and beautiful to sit out on our balcony enjoying Bora Bora...it doesn't get any better!
The ports were wonderful, and most had lots of options off of the ship, waiting for you at the dock. We did manage to tender at Rarotonga, which I know can be an issue, but we had great seas for the entire trip.
