We thoroughly enjoyed our fourth cruise on NCL. This Alaskan cruise made up for all the shortcomings that we experienced last year on the Pride of Aloha in Hawaii.

Boarding went very smoothly. Our cabin was prepared, spotless and just perfect for the two of us to celebrate our special anniversary. While we were never formerly introduced to our cabin steward, she did perform her responsibilities flawlessly. Great attention to detail and even provided a unexpected towel animal one evening. Our aft facing balcony cabin was perfect for us. We love to sit out and watch the wake as we leave the different ports. The location was perfect for avoiding the colder wind that was occasionally present at the front of the ship.

We ate in five different restaurants. The food was good to excellent in all locations. We loved most of the cold soups. (Something we would have probably never considered, but hearing positive things about the soups on this board, we gave them a try.) Most of them were really very tasty! For the most part, the wait staff were very attentive and were there to please as much as possible. Most meals were exceptional. While the Versailles was our favorite, it was somewhat noisy at times, but really very beautiful and a staff that served us very well.
